Summoners War patch 1.5.5 was released on April 13, 2015. It updates Summoners War: Sky Arena to version 1.5.5.

Rune balancing[]

  • First time activation of Violent runes has been increased to 22% from 20%, with subsequent consecutive activation rates decreasing by 30% each time (22% -> 15.4% -> 10.8%).
  • Set bonus from Fatal runes increased to 35% from 30%.
  • Shield rune set bonus increased to 15% from 10%.

  • Beginner Guilds will no longer be able to acquire the bonus Guild Points that are granted based on the opponent's rank within the enemy Guild (In effect as of Mar. 28th 11pm PDT).
  • When a Guild successfully holds off the enemy for a Guild Battle session, all of the Guild members will get 10 Guild Points (In effect starting Mar. 28th 11pm PDT).

Skill balancing[]

Monster Attribute Skill Changes
Kung Fu Girl Fire/Water/Dark Shadowless Kick Chances to remove beneficial effects has been increased from 40% to 75%.
Water Water Dragon Attack The skill will now have a 25% chance to counterattack during cooltime.

Fire/Wind/Dark North Stars Wisdom Chances to remove beneficial effects have been increased from 50% to 75%. The skill will now additionally have a 75% chance to prevent the target from receiving beneficial effects."
Lich Water/Wind/Dark Deadly Touch Damage has been increased by 7%.
Fire/Light Sinkhole Chances to absorb the target's Attack Bar have been increased from 10% to 15%.
Nine-tailed Fox Water/Wind/Light Soul Snatcher Damage has been increased by 8%.
Water Cleanse Damage has been increased by 8%.
Fire Phantom Light The skill will now have a Branding Effect that lasts for 2 turns.
Wind Sweet Talk Damage has been increased by 8%.
Light Reincarnate Cooltime has been reduced by 1 turn.
Dark Nightmare Damage has been increased by 8%.
Pierret Water Freezing Shot Damage has been increased by 6%.
Water Thousand Shots Cooltime has been reduced by 1 turn.
Fire Flame Shot The skill will now also have Defense weakening effects along with the Attack Power reduction effect, both lasting for 2 turns.
Dark Dark Force The skill will now also decrease 50% of the target's Attack Bar.
Succubus Water Parting Gift The skill will now also have an Attack Bar absorption effect ( 10% absorption per hit).
Phantom Thief Water/Light Arrest Damage has been increased by 9%.
Elemental Fire/Water/Light Element Explosion Damage has been increased by 8%.
Serpent Water Ice Blast Damage will now scale accordingly to the Monsters MAX HP.

Bounty Hunter Fire/Water/Dark Chain Fire Chances to attack consecutively have been increased from 25% to 30%.
Wind/Light Arrow of Purification The skill will now increase the Monsters Attack Bar by 50% when the target's beneficial effect has been successfully removed.
High Elemental Water Ice Prison Cooltime has been reduced by 1 turn.
Light Mystical Blood Transfusion The skill will now remove harmful effects on both the target and the Monster.
Harpu Fire Fiery Dance Recovery amount has been increased from 20% to 25%.
Harpy Light Alert "Instead of increasing Attack Speed and decreasing chances of getting hit by Critical Hits for 3 turns, the skill will now decrease the chances of getting hit by Critical Hits for 3 turns and increase the Attack Bar of all allies by 30%."
Dark Sign of Death Damage has been increased by 11%.
Beast Hunter Fire/Light Aim Weak Spot Cooltime has been reduced by 1 turn.

Joker Water Revival Magic (Passive) Cooltime has been reduced by 2 turns.
Light Camouflage (Passive) The skill will now additionally remove 1 beneficial effect from the target.
Werewolf Water Shred Damage will now scale accordingly to the Monsters MAX HP.
Valkyrja Light Seal of Light "Instead of increasing the target's chances of landing a Glancing Hit for 2 turns, the skill will now prevent the target from using skills for 2 turns."
Light God's Shield (Passive) The skill will now additionally decrease the chances of allies receiving Critical Hits by 15%.
Brownie Magician Fire/Water/Light Fly Fly The skill will now additionally decrease the target's Defense for 1 turn.
Death Knight Light Trade Damage has been increased by 7%.
Cooltime has been reduced by 1 turn.
The skill will now grant all allies a shield for 2 turns if there is no revivable ally on the field.

Skill errors fixed[]

Monster Attribute Skill Changes
Rakshasa Water Delicate Whip Attacks and recovers by 50% of the inflicted damage. This attack is guaranteed a stun fort turn if the enemy is suffering more than 2 harmful effects.
Dark Devil's Whip Attacks an enemy 4 times, decreasing the Attack Bar by 20% with a 75% chance for each attack. This attack is guaranteed a stun fort turn if the enemy's Attack Bar is depleted.
Taoist Light Secretive Guard (Passive) If an ally receives an attack that kills them, that death will be prevented and 30% of your MAX HP will be transfered to that ally. This skill will not activate if your HP is below 30%. [Automatic Effect)

Monster balancing[]

Monster Attribute Skill Changes
Harpy Water Stats Stats have been reassigned to focus on HP.
High Elemental Light Type The monster's type has been reassigned from Attack to Support.
Stats Stats have been reassigned to focus on HP.

UI improvements[]

  • If you have a quest, the quest icon at your village will now blink to increase awareness.
  • The strongholds of the opponent's Guild will now have numbers.
  • Guild Battle Rankings have been changed to Guild Battle Log.
  • You can check the Attack/Defense logs at the Guild Battle Log.
  • The UI regarding battle logs and battle history has been improved.
  • The UI has been improved to make the remaining attack chances left in the entire guild easier to see.
  • The alert messages for the individual battles during Guild Battles have been changed to display the ally Guild member's name first.


Bug fixes[]

  • The issue of Vampire Rune set effects being applied to Elemental's skill [Elemental Explosion] has been fixed.
  • The issue of the chat box disappearing during certain situations has been fixed.
  • Some bugs regarding Achievements have been fixed.
  • [Learn from Loss] can no longer be achieved with Successful Defenses.

Other changes[]

  • The Monster Storage slot has been increased from 200 slots to 250 slots.
  • The Rune Inventory has been increased from 150 slots to 250 slots.
  • The Monster Storage now has a sorting feature.
  • You will now be able to set the Monsters and attack order for Boss encounters differently for each dungeon.
